Sevilla FC in Spain's Primera Liga is interested in renting Hannibal Mebri (Manchester United).

Spanish media "Diario de Seville" said on the 6th that Sevilla is interested in a loan transfer from Manchester United's promising midfielder Hannibal.

Sevilla has been at its worst this season. It won the UEFA Europa League in the 2019-2020 season and the 2022-2023 season, becoming the "King of Europa" but finishing 16th in Spain's Primera Liga this season.

If it goes awry, it will inevitably be demoted to the minor league. Sevilla ranks 16th through the 19th round with three wins, seven draws, nine losses and 16 points, just one point shy of 18th-ranked Cardis CF, which is set to be demoted. As it is tied with 17th-ranked Celta de Vigo, it could fall to the relegation zone at any time.
Seville is strongly committed to rebounding in the second half of the year by recruiting players for the winter transfer market. Jose Maria Carrasco, chairman of Seville, said in January that he would actively seek recruitment in the transfer market. Notably, Seville is striving to strengthen its midfield.

Among them, the player Seville is aiming for is Hannibal Mebri, Manchester United's top prospect. Diario de Seville said, "Hannibal Mebri is one of the options that Seville is negotiating."

Mebri is a midfielder based in Tunisia. After starting his career with FC Paris in the French League 2, he showed outstanding performance for the French under-16 and moved to AS Monaco, a prestigious Ligue 1 club. After suffering a feud in Monaco, Mebri joined Manchester United in July 2019 for a transfer fee of 9 million euros.
Mebri made the first team in the 2020-2021 season as a substitute for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the final match of the English Premier League. He also played in two Premier League games the following season, consistently showing promise.

Last season, Mejbri left for Birmingham City in the English Championship (minor league) on loan, and received many opportunities to play. He scored his first professional goal in a match against West Bromwich in February last year, and he easily performed with one goal and six assists in 41 matches.

This season, Mebri has been receiving many opportunities to play as he returned to Manchester United. Early in the season, Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag gave Mebri a chance as key midfielders such as Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount and Casemiro were injured.

Mebri met his expectations by scoring his debut goal in a match against Brighton and Hove Albion (5R). Manchester United and manager Ten Haq confirmed Mebri's possibility and invoked the option of extending his contract by one year. Mebri will stay at Old Trafford until 2025. 스포츠토토

Even if Mebri leaves for Sevilla on loan, he is not expected to have a full purchase option. Manchester United has already extended Mebri's contract period until 2025, and is showing a willingness not to lose Mebri to other teams through a later renewal.

There is a good chance that Manchester United will refuse. Eriksen, Mount, and Casemiro have recently returned to training, but there are so many injuries this season that they cannot be relieved. The deal could be extended until the end of January.
